The author seems to have the opinion that hybrid corn is a better form to add wanted traits. The form in which this happens is by cross breeding the plant or animal in this case it's corn giving it the desired traits for the offspring and may not harm the environment or any species. A problem that arose on page 25 was a new form of giving desired traits to the plant and animals called GMO abbreviation for genetically modified organisms. The process is done in a laboratory by adding genes from a different organism and inserting it in the corns DNA the genes can come from a bacteria or a organism. Many farmer do not want to grow any GMO crops "They believe that GMOs are a reckless experiment with the natural order of things."(page 25)
