Risks outweigh the benefits of the industrial food chain, by how there are more risks in the industrial food chain then how many there are of benefits. In the industrial food chain, it talks about how CAFO animal/cow manure, pollutes the air and can be very toxic to us. It also talks about how there now is bacteria growing in the cow manure and bacteria finding its way from the animal manure to our foods. There aren't really any good benefits in the industrial food chain, but it sure does have a lot of down sides.
