Hybrid corn is not always good for farmers. With hybrid corn all the seeds are going to be identical but the children of that seed would have mixed trated, so farmers would have to buy new seeds every years. The text states "The only way to make sure your plants produce the same amount of corn that they have the same yield as the original hybrid is to new seed ever year from a seed company" This quote tells me that in orer for farmers to keep their production of corn the same is by buying more seeds every year.
