Dr. Contreras: Reflection

Yes, it has. I can really say I hate this book. Since I first saw it and I read the summary on the back of the book I already jnew I wasnt goung to like it. I dont really want to knkw where my food came from. Well part of me does because like micheal pollan said it feels good to know how your vegatables are grown and how the chiken from your sandwhich was treated. But then there is the other part of me that hates this book because know everytime I buy something im looking at the ingredients to see if it contains corn or to see if its organic. In the past few days when I get home and eat I font really fell like eating meat. And if I do it it I dont get to eat the whole thing without thinking about how this chicken was rased and the hormones that it most likely got to make it grow faster and bigger. How it lived its entire life in a feedlot surrounded by its own manure and by 20,000 other chickens. Even though im not goung to stop wating the things I usually eat im at least goung to be aware of what im eating.
