I believe that the risks outweighs the benefits of the local sustainable food chain because even thought the author puts good benefits like how the chicken manure fertilizes the grass and provide nitrogen the risks outweigh it because I'm the text it states " An infection could kill 20,000 birds overnight " This quote shows how even if one bird have an infection then almost all the birds will get the infection and die . The text also states ... " Fifty-six days is the amount of time it would take the chicken to grow big enough to be slaughtered." This quote shows how the birds live in bad conditions and they are stuff in an place for 56 days and then they get slaughtered on the spot and they are in bad living conditions too .
