Dr.Diallo๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿš‘: Reflection

Did Michael Pollan influence any part of your eating habits/decisions? Why or why not?

Micheal Pollan did influence me about my eating habits/ decision by using sufficient factual evidence, including graphs and charts to persuade me and inform me about the type of food I eat and what makes it either good or bad. As stated in the text, " But what happens to the eighty pounds of man-made nitrogen that Naylor's corn plants don't take up? Some of it evaporates into the air, where it creates acid rain. Some of it turns into nitrous oxide, a gas that increased global warming. You may be thinking how does this connects to how Micheal pollan influenced me on my eating habits. It does,   the fact that during industrial food chain process, which is where I get my food from, chemicals are being sprayed to grow food even faster and because of these chemicals the earth is in danger. Why should I get my food from a place that sprays chemical on it, which can harm me and the people around me. It makes no sense. The author also includes a chart that portrays differences of children weight from 1976-2006 based on the effect of industrial food chain. It is crazy how the percentage of obese children ages 6-19 increases throughout the years. Not all food chains are bad. For example the local sustainable food chain is the healthy way of eating. It is organic and produced naturally and takes a short time to get you. It help protect you from diseases with all the nutrion it contains. I will now think twice about what I want to eat. I will also make wise healthy choices to keep myself in good condition. I will also try to  inform others and persuade others about their food choices and what actions they should take to maintain a healthy body.
