I believe that the risks do out weigh the benefits of industrial organic food . People believe that since it says organic on the label it's healthy to eat but In the book " omnivores dilemma " it states " the government rules about organic food allow companies to make organic high fructose corn syrup .. Words I never expected to see combined " pg 114 cthis is showing me that the risk of making organic syrup is risky because syrup isn't a healthy thing to consume but the companys wants to make it organic , but only healthy food are organic . an additional Quote from the text that shows how the risks do out weigh the benefits is " several of the ingredients were synthetic additives that are permitted under federal organic rules "pg 115. This means company's add additional ingredients to their products even though it's suppose to be healthy . Tons of farms and markets claim their products to be organic but also add other things . This gives me a reason why the risks outweigh benefits of the industrial organic food chain .
