Dr.Dones Hunter Gatherer

I believe that people in the U.S. Wouldn't use the hunter gatherer food chain because it's not necessary. In the book Michael discusses how he killed a pig but afterwards he didn't have a good feeling about it, and I think people would rather go to the supermarket to buy food. Also, going to the supermarket or grocery store is easier than going in the middle of the woods and killing an animal. Which is another reason that I believe Americans won't use the hunter gatherer food chain.
