I believe that the benefits outweight the risks because mos of the risk we hear about in the book are things that can happen if they are not careful but in thenfarm they are so they cant happen. The text states"the chicken manure fertilizes the grass,supplying all the nitrogen it needs"(163). This helps me understand that the chickens droppings actually help the environment grow rather than harming it and that because of it they dont have to use chemicals to help the grass grow. The text states"but left in one place the chickens would eventually destroy the soil"(163). This helps me understand that if they are not carefull the chickens can harm the earth rather than help it but in the farm they are carefull and they make sure to move the pens so that it does not happen. So i believe that the benefits outweight the risks because the farm takes precausion so that the risks stated do not happen in the farm and they help the environment while making chemical free food.
