Dr. Rodriguez: Industrial Organic Food Chain

Do the risks outweigh the benefits of the industrial organic food chain? Why or why not? Use at least two pieces of evidence to support your response.

The risks out weigh the benefits because the form in which the livestock and produce are grown in very similar process as the industrial food chain that used chemicals. the text states,"The organic stores like Whole Foods is organic because it is grown without chemical fertilizer or pesticides."(114) This evidence explain that this food chain does not use any type of chemicals in their foods which is healthy and natural for the environment. Yet in the text it states, "This organic HFCS could come in useful when making  "organic" processed foods, like organic soda and organic TV dinners."(115) The chemicals of HFCS are mainly used in high chemical foods to give it a certain kick to the industrial and industrial organic companies."
