Do the risks outweigh the benefits of the industrial organic food chain? Why or why not?
I believe that the benefits outweigh the risks of the industrial organic food because the benefits are very persuasive and influential rather than the risks. In the text " Omnivore's Dilemma" it states, "The word organic had become a kind of shorthand for food that is healthier or more natural or chemical free". Based on this text I can confirm on my idea on how the benefits of the industrial organic food chain is good because it is healthy and natural and these two factors are good for us because it can help our body fight foreign diseases that is trying to develop in our bodies. Not only that but natural doesn't cause pollution or increase in global warming because natural is the way everything works in it's own control. Micheal pollan also includes in his book " Ominvore's Dilemma" that organic tastes better. If organic is natural and tastes better how great is that. That is a beneficial to us hand because if we are all eating something that tastes good and healthy for us, chances of diseases could decrease and life span of humans could increase.
