I believe the risks outweigh the benefits of the industrial food chain because in the text it talks about how how it's hurting the environment in many ways when it comes to the cows . The cows are only feed corn which is bad for them to eat only corn and since our meat comes from cows , that means that's bad for us as well . For example , in the text it states , " the feedlot are also breeding grounds for new and deadly bacteria ..." This is showing how the industrial food chain is at risk because of all the bad bacteria that is growing . Another quote in the text that shows risks outweighs the food chain is " thanks to cafos meat is now so cheap that many of us eat it three times a day.." This shows that it outweighs the benefits because they are being so cheap because of all the chemicals the cows are getting which hurts the cows and the environments .
